# What Is An RSS Owner Email?
## To find or change your RSS owner email in CoHost, go to"Show Settings" in the "Distribution" tab.
### **Where Can I Find My RSS Owner Email?**
For the majority of platforms, you will be able to find the ownership email associated with your RSS feed in the distribution settings. This is the area of a hosting platform that specifically deals with things like your show’s title, description, and cover art. If it is not located in distribution settings, it will be in your account settings or show information.
### **Where Can I Find My RSS Owner Email in CoHost?**
To find your RSS owner email within your CoHost account, click on “Distribution” in your sidebar. Once here, go to “Show Settings” and scroll down until you find “Owner Details”. Here, you can see your owner email which is the email associated with your RSS feed.

### **Why Is My RSS Owner Email In Distribution Settings?**
Every RSS feed needs to be associated with an email so you can claim ownership of your show when submitting it to the platforms. Since a hosting platform’s distribution settings is gathering the data needed to launch your show, the owner email is generally located there.
### **What Email Should I Set As My RSS Owner Email?**
You should always set your RSS ownership email to the email address that is associated directly with your podcast. [We suggest creating a new Gmail](https://cohost.helpscoutdocs.com/article/70-why-you-should-create-a-google-email-for-your-podcast) for your show upon launch and using that for your hosting account, owner email, and the rest of your listening platform accounts like Apple ID, Spotify, and Amazon.
### **How Do I Change My RSS Ownership Email**
It’s easy to change your RSS ownership email for your podcast.
Go into CoHost:
1. Click your profile picture in the top right corner.
2. Click settings.
3. Change the email in the email box.
4. Click save changes
5. You will receive a confirmation email.
