How To Publish Your First Episode On CoHost
Welcome to your CoHost account! Publishing your first episode on the platform is an exciting milestone that we’re happy to support you with.
Below, you’ll find step-by-step instructions on how to publish your first episode on CoHost.
Step 1: Click “Publish My First Episode”
In your dashboard homepage, labeled “Dashboard” in the menu on the left, you should see a prompt telling you to launch your first episode with us! Similar to below:
If you don’t see this, no problem! Simply click the “Add New Episode” button on the top right.
Step 2: Add Episode Details
Once you’ve clicked the episode prompt, you’ll be brought to your episode page. On this page, your dashboard will look like the image below:
From here, you’ll need to add the following episode details:
- Upload the audio file for your podcast
- The episode title
- Episode type (is it the full episode, a trailer, or a bonus episode)
- The season number (leave blank if you don’t have seasons!)
- The episode number
- The episode description and show notes
- Whether or not your episode contains explicit content
- Whether you want to hide the episode from your RSS for content privacy
- Keywords for your episode
- Any relevant episode contributors
- Custom cover art for the episode (optional)
Step 3: Publish Your Episode
Once you’ve added all of the assets in Step 2, all you have to do is publish your episode!
You have a few options here, you can either schedule when you want your episode to be published or you can publish your episode immediately.
If you’re not ready for either or still need to gather some of the assets for the episode, you can save it as a draft and come back later.
And there you have it! Please reach out to our team if you have any questions or run into any challenges while publishing your episode.
