How To Distribute Your Podcast On YouTube

Learn how to distribute your podcast on YouTube by following the steps below.

There are two ways to distribute your podcast on YouTube:

  1. Publish through a podcast hosting platform, like CoHost via your RSS feed.
  2. Adding your episodes to a podcast playlist on YouTube without using your RSS feed.

If you opt to go the RSS feed route, any new episodes you add to your feed will automatically be on YouTube – just like all the other podcast apps. This also means that important details like episode titles, descriptions, and release dates are pulled directly from your RSS feed, ensuring consistency across all platforms.

We will note, however, that CoHost, along with the majority of podcast hosting apps does not support automatic video publication to YouTube. This means that only your audio with your podcast’s cover art as the visual will be uploaded to YouTube automatically. If you produce full video episodes for your show, you’ll need to manually upload them to YouTube.

Regardless of the route you choose to take, your YouTube podcast analytics will not be included in your podcast data on CoHost. To review YouTube data, you’ll need to get that directly from the YouTube platform.

Below we break down both options:

Before listing your podcast on YouTube, you’ll need to create or import your show in CoHost.

Then, input or verify your show’s details under “Distribution” > “Show Settings.” Here you’ll want the most up-to-date information about your podcast like the title, description, and cover (3000 x 3000 px).
